What is a Doula
Doula is a word with Greek origins meaning “a woman who serves.” Today, a doula refers to a labour companion - a trained professional who will provide the emotional, physical and informational support before, during and after childbirth. A doula does not support the medical needs during labour, but research shows that birthing people need fewer medical interventions when they have a doula by their side.
We strive to provide inclusive care for all birthing people including the BIPOC and the LGBT2Q Communities.

Amy is a lifelong student and continues both her personal and professional learning experiences. Her most recent adventure as being a Mom of 3 began December 2020 when she welcomed her newest baby girl Olivia. .
As a teenager Amy knew she wanted to be both a Doula and a yoga instructor. This dream didn’t take off until she turned 30, was a mother of 2 and decided that she wanted to start living the life she had always dreamed of. In September of 2018 Amy started her YTT (Prenatal April 2019) and in October of 2018 she began her Doula journey.
During her Doula trainings she discovered that she has a passion for supporting families and individuals through every stage of their pregnancy and parenting journey. Amy loves to support families through their birth, knowing how needed support is but she truly believes everyone could use some help during their postpartum as it is a new and challenging time, often being overshadowed by the excitement of pregnancy and a new baby.
When Amy is not busy working or learning she enjoys spending time with her growing family, practicing yoga/meditation and being outdoors. They love family camping trips and hikes.
