Lactation Education

Family First

Support comes in many shapes and sizes as do our bodies and the way(s) we choose to feed our babies. We offer private and group education classes during pregnancy and hands on support during your postpartum.

There should not be any judgement, guilt or shame associated with feeding your baby. However you choose to feed your baby do not let anyone make your feel guilty about YOUR choices.

The best thing you can do for yourself and your baby is to educate yourself, ask questions and seek help/support when needed. We are here to help educate and empower you in succeeding at breastfeeding/chestfeeding/body feeding if that is your goal.

Feeding your baby is a learned skill by both yourself and your baby, meaning it takes time to learn how to do it properly sometimes. It may not always look or work the "traditional" way we expect and that is perfectly okay.

4 Common reasons parents are not successful with breastfeeding/chestfeeding

1. Lack of confidence
2. Embarrassment of breastfeeding/chestfeeding in public
3. Loss of freedom
4. Influence from Family & Friends
